Pentecost Sunday
Pentecost Sunday is the birthday of the Church. It is the day when the Holy Ghost came down and gave each of Christ’s followers a different ability. It was St. Peter who gave the first sermon and 3000 people joined the Church.
This is also an example of Catholic Action. While we don’t expect anyone to go a preach a sermon and have 3000 people join the Church but we do expect people to explain and defend the Church.
And wouldn’t it be wonderful if we all could bring in at least one new person to the Church? Then the true Church would rule supreme and the Modernist church would just go away. Then the world would change and for the betterment of all.
As a side note: the Novena to the Holy Ghost is the oldest prayer of the Church. It was also the first prayer of the Church.
We wish you all a very holy Pentecost Sunday and may the Holy Ghost guide you in your defense of the Church.
