A matter of numbers
It is now becoming clear that the Hong Kong Police consider groups of 30 or more a threat. It is at this number that the police require groups to seek permission for an activity. Mostly, this is done for various marches and protests that happen in Hong Kong.
Recently, the police told a jogging club that they needed permission to conduct their activities. Now, jogging clubs are, if they jog with 30 or more people, are a threat to the police.
Right now, it’s only one club that seems to be affected. But, we suppose that it is only a matter of time before it spreads to other clubs and to other sports events. We can foresee that the Hong Kong marathon may need permission. We can also see Dragon Boat racing needing permission.
Once sporting events need permission then where do the police go from there? We suspect that it will require places of worship, non-sporting events, places of business, schools, and hospitals needing permission. We hope it doesn’t come to this but perhaps it will.
What about one person saying the Rosary? To everyone, it may look like just one person. However, there may be a legion of angels also saying the prayers to honor Our Lord and Our Lady. Will the police try to arrest the angels as well?
