Lent is starting this week. It is a time for the faithful to pray and sacrifice in order not only to get what they want but to appease the justice of God.

For prayers and sacrifices have done more for this world than wars and money combined. The turning away the wrath of God is better than buying the most expensive item you can afford.

It is time for the people of the world to turn to God and ask for His mercy in this coronavirus health crisis. Yes, science will help but God will help more.

Let us remember the words of Joel 2:13- Let us change our garments for ashes and sackcloth: let us fast and lament before the Lord: for plenteous in mercy is our God to forgive our sins.
