Compassion

Have we, as a society, lost our compassion for our neighbors? Do we no longer care what happens to them as long as we get what we want? It would seem so.

In the age of Covid, governments have put fear into their citizens. Fear of a virus and fear of their neighbor. They tell people that if they get an injection they would be protected from the virus but those who did not get an injection are a threat to national health.

The fear of their neighbor is becoming rampant in all parts of the world. Those who have gotten an injection look down upon those who haven’t and they fear and hate them. They want the uninjected to be banned from work, school, shopping, and any other place they can.

They want them stuck in their homes and appears that they don’t care if they live or die. Because, according to the injected people, the uninjected (former friends and family) are the cause of all the problems in society. If the uninjected go away then society would get back to normal.

Jesus had compassion for everyone including his enemies. But the teaching of Jesus has been lost in the age of Covid and people only selfishly want what is best for themselves and not their neighbors.

We are worried about how many people would turn in their neighbors for 30 pieces of silver.
