On 8 May 2022 Hong Kong selected its new leader. A man named John Lee whom was China’s chosen successor. Much is not known about him except that he has spent most of his government service in the police field before rising to the top.

What we do know is that John Lee says he is a Catholic. We don’t doubt this but we question his beliefs. We suspect that he is a modernist Catholic and is willing to do whatever China wants him to do. For one does not rise to the head of government without showing China how patriotic you are and are willing to follow whatever they want.

For if he was true to his Catholic faith, or if the people who taught him in school knew, that one can not be a Catholic and a Communist at the same time. They are opposed to each other and it appears he has made his stand on what he believes in. For power, it appears he upholds Communism and used his faith as something to show people.

It really doesn’t matter what he believes for like we have said about the current leader of Hong Kong: they will die and will have to stand before God and His judgment.
