We have been away from this site for a while (and for reasons which will not be told) but we have never forgotten our mission to this site.

On 1 July 2022, John Lee was sworn in as the sixth Chief Executive of Hong Kong. We have been watching him and seeing what he will do. It has been a mixed review for right now.

John Lee claims he is a Catholic. But like his predecessor he doesn’t mention it and spends lots of time telling Hong Kong, and the world, how great Hong Kong is because it has the backing of China. We have often said before that those who deal with Communists will die with them. It will not turn out well for anyone who has any dealings with them.

John Lee has very little practical political experience. He has spent most of his adult life in law enforcement. He has stated that National Security is a top priority for him and his administration as proved it in just the few weeks he assumed his position. We fear that one-day religion will be in China’s sight and he will crack down upon it in Hong Kong.

The duty of any true Catholic, in a position of leadership, needs to promote and protect the Church and its Faith. But to promote Communism is just the opposite of what a leader should do.
