A threat to China
Over the past year, China has increasingly attacked religion. Why? Because it is a threat to those in power.
Religion, especially Christianity, says that there is something bigger and greater than the here and now. It is this faith that Communist leaders fear the most. They don’t want people to believe that there is something better and that once we die we will all have to account for our actions.
Communism teaches that there is only the here and now. The state is supreme and there is nothing else. Once you die your life is over and that is all you can expect.
This idea suits the leaders just fine because that means they can do whatever they want and get away with it. They don’t care about anyone else except their own power. If anyone dies then too bad for them. They just didn’t play the game right.
However, Christianity refutes all of Communism. That you can’t treat everyone as less than you. You can’t care only about yourself. And in the end, everyone will be judged…including the leaders.
So, the leaders of China are starting a campaign against religion. They are attacking the churches and taking away all religious items. They are also threatening the faithful into not going. The sad part is that many of them embraced Communism in order to survive.
One day God will call for a reckoning of all and it is only them that the leaders of China will understand the truth that they are working so hard to deny.
