All Soul’s Day

2 November is All Souls Day in the Catholic faith. It is where the faithful pray for the souls that have died and are now suffering in Purgatory. They are helpless and rely on the living to help them ease their pains and gain Heaven. Those souls that are released are eternally grateful and become our friends and advocate in Heaven.

What could be greater than on our own day of judgment that a released soul says to God, “This soul loved me much and helped me.”

Perhaps All Souls Day should include those family and friends who have walked out of our lives and have never returned. They too are suffering and prayers are needed for their return.

Also, with the Covid virus and people dying they too need our prayers for both their hoped-for recovery or for their judgment day and beyond.
