Another war on religion

Just in time for Christmas, China has launched another war against religion. China’s Xi said, “Religious activities should be carried out within the scope stipulated by laws and regulations … and should not interfere with educational, judicial and administrative affairs as well as social life.” He was also referring to national security laws of China.

This can only mean that another round of crackdowns on religions is coming. It was unclear from his speech when or what type of crackdowns will happen. We just expect it to happen sooner rather than later.

Leaders who fear religion, and hence the truth, feel that by opposing religion they can hope to miss their own judgment day. They are sadly mistaken. For everyone will be judged no matter how much they deny God.

It is clear from the quote above that Xi believes that religion should only be taught in a place of worship, and according to Chinese laws. Outside that place of worship religion is not to be tolerated. This is clearly a false notion.

For it is outside places of worship that religion is needed the most. Religion tells people how to act and behave and that all will be held accountable for their actions. To deny religion outside places of worship is to deny a more moral form of society.

Leaders, like Xi, may deny God and His Church and think they can win the war against religion. They may win some battles but they will lose the war. For nothing is more powerful than God and His truth.

The judgment day of those leaders who force their people to turn away from God and demand that they worship their leaders will be harsh. It will be on that day they will find out the truth and it will be too late. Pity that they didn’t see it coming.
