We shall not be in Hong Kong during Holy Week so in advance we wish you all a very blessed and grace-filled Holy Week.

On the day before Palm Sunday, the Hong Kong government has put into effect its new security law. We will wait and see what will happen when it goes into effect. If it will just affect a few people or be used to intimidate everyone so that the government can continue to maintain its power.

But the lesson of Holy Week is one the Hong Kong government should take notice of. It is a story where not even Jesus’ enemies could stop Him from His resurrection and showing that their power had no effect on Him and His proclamation that He is really the Son of God.

God shall be watching the government and if they should use their newfound power to suppress and intimidate people and organizations they fear then God will have His vengeance on them. But it will not be immediate but in God’s due time.

We shall wait and see what happens.
