Seven Sorrows of the BVM

April 2, 2020 by No Comments

3 April is the Feast Day of the Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It is the only feast day to be held twice in a year. The first, one week before Good Friday and the second in September.

If you don’t know what the seven sorrows are then you can look them up on the internet or other places.

The point is that these sorrows are what the Church wishes us to remember. These sorrows are so strong and so powerful that we can only show compassion to Mary as she has shown compassion to us.

But the question remains. How do you console someone whose sorrows are so great that she can not be consoled? We don’t have an answer but it is something we all must try to do.

Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us now and at the hour of our death.
