shooting
It has barely been a day since a student was shot and social media still condemns the police as a murderer (but no one was killed). China has come out and said it was justified. It really doesn’t matter what either side says.
In today’s world, it is easy to jump to whatever conclusion that fits you. We still have not heard from the officer himself. Why did he pull his service weapon and what was his actual intention of doing so?
With the protesters claiming it was a murder they are bent for revenge. They see nothing wrong with doing more violence because they feel “justified” in doing so. It is a pity.
Christ taught us the “Our Father” prayer. In it one of the petitions says “Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.” This means that we are asking God to forgive us in the same measure as we forgive others; no more and no less. Protesters will not forgive the office for what he did.
And what about the officer who actually shot the student? It will be a sad pity that he may be forever known as “the cop who shot the kid.” They may lead to depression and worse. It is best to pray for him and forgive him for what he did especially if it was on accident.
