May

May is the month dedicated to Mary. This woman has done more for the Church and the world than any other woman in history. After all, in St. Luke 1:48 she says, “for behold from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.” No other woman has said or even claimed that. For she alone shall be called blessed.

May is also Mother’s Day and the Feast of Our Lady of China (same day). What better way can we celebrate Mother’s Day than with Our Lady? The mother of all of us.

In April, BRHK (this site) was not in Hong Kong. We spent Holy Week and most of Easter week in the city of Prague. A city filled with religion but, sadly, not many people believe. There the Infant Jesus of Prague waits for everyone but about the only people who come are some tourists (to take a few photos), or those who are member of that church. Very few come and pray to the Infant and seek His blessings.

But now, BRHK is back in Hong Kong and we weep over the fact that not many people embrace religion. They embrace the world and feel that the world is their only comfort and choice.

Perhaps, this Mother’s Day Our Lady can help them and guide them to her Son.
