Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Our Lord once said to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque: “Behold this Heart which has so loved men that it has spared nothing, even to exhausting and consuming itself, in order to testify its love. In return, I receive from the greater part only ingratitude, by their irreverence and sacrileges, and by the coldness and contempt they have for me in this sacrament of love….”

In many places the love for Christ is trampled upon by man. Those who love Christ are often ridiculed and persecuted. The love of Christ is replaced by the love of man and science.

In Communist China, the forces of the government are used to extinguish any notion of religion and replace it with fear of the government. The contempt for the truth is common among the leadership and people are fearful to speak the truth.

In Hong Kong, the idea of religion is hardly mentioned except as a tool for protest. They never think to pray and to honor the Sacred Heart of Jesus because they don’t believe it.

Now, in Hong Kong, as new security laws are forced upon the area people will still not remember the love of Christ and what He has done even to those who do not know Him.
