Rest in Peace?

When a person dies they are buried someplace and that is where they will remain until the Final Judgment. But not in Hong Kong.

When a person dies the family has an option to either cremate or bury the body. If they are cremated it often takes time to find a place of where to put the remains. Sometimes, it can take years before a place is found. Until then it is stored either with family or at a funeral home.

With burial it is different. If there is room, at a cemetery, then your body can be buried there. However, there is a catch. It can only stay in the ground for around six or seven years. The family has an option to pay for more years or the government will remove the body and burn it.

After the body is burned the family can decide what to do with the remains or have the government decide where to put them. This removal is written into Hong Kong law mostly because of lack of space for both the living in the dead.

It is not surprising that body removal is written into law. For what can one expect from Communists who have no respect for the dead. They only see things in terms of money and space.

But at the Final Judgment, there will be a reckoning of this and all those who took part in the removal of bodies (or even cremation at first) will have to answer to God for this deed.
